We offer hands-on instructor-led training courses so techs are fully familiar and confident with the work they perform at maintaining Allison transmissions. Skilled techs can help maximize equipment value, reduce cost over the service life, and improve performance. Our team of full-time instructors will ensure your technicians are properly trained for safe, efficient, and professional maintenance and operation. We provide your staff with valuable information they will use for years to come. Our training courses incorporate a variety of proven methods to ensure maximum learning potential. Training includes both classroom and laboratory work conducted by our Allison-certified trainers at our facilities in Ridgefield, Washington, and Sacramento, California.

Most of our classes start at 8AM and end around 4:30. Please check your schedule for exact class info. We adhere to the CDC guidance. Our primary concern is for the safety of our instructors, team members, trainees, and customers. Currently, we are operating as normal and will continue to monitor the situation at all our locations and will provide updates, as necessary. Training attendees are required to wear appropriate attire, including long pants, closed-toe shoes/boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Masks are optional. Manufacturer-specific safety procedures are embedded in the publications we use as reference material and are discussed and demonstrated in detail in the classroom – both by the instructor and by the students. *We ask that you stay home if you have any symptoms of the Coronavirus (see symptom list at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html) and reschedule your training.
Training Formats
Web Based Training (WBT) modules currently include product familiarization, preventive maintenance, and basic diagnostic information for Allison’s most popular on-highway transmissions – the 1000 Series™, 2000 Series™, 3000 Series™, and 4000 Series™ automatic transmissions. A select number of WBT modules can be accessed through Allison HUB™.
Instructor-led Training (ILT) is intended to provide a working understanding of the theory learned in Web Based Training (WBT). Each ILT course typically lasts two days but may be longer depending on the topic.
E-Learn is a secure, web-based Learning Management System (LMS). Allison E-Learn provides distance training on all Allison products. An E-Learn account must be created prior to accessing WBT or ILT training. View Instructions for Creating a New Account
