Diesel Dog Scholarship Application

Dave Miller Sr., “Diesel Dog” to those who knew him, was a passionate mechanic who loved a two stroke engine almost as much as he loved teaching those new to the craft how to fix one. You could often find Dave working right alongside the newest member of the team, showing him the ropes, and imparting his wit and wisdom along the way. In the style of a true master, he was a mentor and a teacher who made sure those around him not only knew what they were doing but why they were doing it and the importance of getting it right. Dave was a hard worker who truly loved his job and never shied away from a problem or a challenge. He often relished those that were the toughest and called upon his broad-based knowledge of marine diesel engines and his vast array of technical abilities developed over decades in the industry.

In his memory, Pacific Power Group has launched the Dave “Diesel Dog” Miller Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund to help support students that are passionate about beginning a career in diesel technology.
