2019 Diesel Dog Scholarship Application

Dave Miller Sr., “Diesel Dog” to those who knew him, was a passionate mechanic who enjoyed passing along his knowledge as much as he liked working on a two-stroke engine. Dave frequently sought out the newest member of the team to guide and pass along his wit and wisdom.

Dave was a mentor and a teacher who made sure those around him not only knew what they were doing but why they were doing it and the importance of getting it right. He was a hard worker who truly loved his job and never shied away from a problem or a challenge. He often relished in tackling the toughest jobs that required him to delve into his broad-based knowledge of marine diesel engines and his vast array of technical abilities developed over decades in the industry.

In his memory, Pacific Power Group sponsors the Dave “Diesel Dog” Miller Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund to help support students that are passionate about beginning a career in diesel technology.
