Here’s Why Our Power Generation Service Team Has Been Trusted For 50 Years

At Pacific Power Group, the service we provide is only as good as the technicians and service professionals in our service department. That’s why we hire and train the best in the industry. With preventative maintenance programs tailored to each individual customer and an online tracking program that ensures onsite generators get the service they need on time, PPG’s service techs have what it takes to keep your power system running smoothly.
Certification is the industry’s hallmark of expertise, and our Power Generation team transcends industry certification standards, ensuring top-notch power system maintenance for all brands. PPG’s journeyman level power generation technicians are certified by the Electrical Generating Systems Association – meaning they are experts in installation, service maintenance and repair for critical systems of most major generator brands, including Caterpillar, Cummins, Generac and Kohler. These licenses certify our Power Generation service technicians in areas like motor and transformer connection for both single-phase and three-phase engines, motor control circuits, voltage ratings and emergency systems to name a few.
Our journeyman technicians have also completed between 4,000 and 8,000 hours of job training and instruction to achieve the 07 and 01 licenses awarded by the WA Department of Labor and Industry. Along with superior licensing, all PPG Power Generation techs receive continued training on core products for most major generator brands, making us the one-stop-shop for on-site generator service and expertise. With thousands of hours of job training under their tool belts, “experienced” is an understatement for our power generation service techs.
But all the training and expertise in the world doesn’t matter if your service technicians don’t keep your facility safe. We adhere to a strict Electrical Work Safety program and Lock Out Tag Out procedures. Our technicians utilize standardized procedures when servicing equipment – making the service process at mission critical facilities like health care institutions, data centers and defense facilities predictable and safe at all times. Along with being equipped with the latest arc flash rated clothing and protective equipment, all of PPG’s techs receive regular high and low voltage electrical training and NFPA-70E arc flash safety training, ensuring that service on your power generation system will be conducted safely.
With the largest team of highly-trained power generation service technicians in the Western U.S., our team is ready 24/7 to provide the support need and keep you up and running. Want to learn more about our preventative maintenance and service offerings? Click here to learn more.
